i actually appreciate oda so much for nami as a character. she breaks the mold by being strong, intelligent, and resourceful, but remains conventionally attractive and not solely defined by it while doing so.

sure, she has her flaws, but the reason people don't like nami isn't because of her wit or skill. it's because of her greed, bossiness and attitude, but those automatically don't count because i #supportwomensrightsANDwrongs 😜

what i'm getting at is it's just so refreshing to see a character not made to be conventionally 'ugly' because of their command, rendering attractiveness and capability mutually exclusive. oda has nami balance femininity with strength so naturally and i love him for it 🫶
