ok so ive continued reading and clary just told him the prophetic dream.

He looks like a demon bc of the possession - its taking away his humanity.

Hes on a throne bc he doesnt realise hes possessed, and thinks hes happy - like ragnor, who didnt seem like he was some sort of puppet completely and stuff. like he doesnt realise smth is wrong now, w him being all happy.

ok, reading tlbotw and yk whats rlly sus? magnus feeling fine. like not just saying he is, but actually feeling it. cause, yk, he just got stabbed by some magical evil demon thorn sword and is now... oozing magic? regardless its weird, especially considering they have a CHILD and magnus should be tired from that, and even mentions before how max's sleep schedule does not match up w him and alec's. and on top of that, cassie mentions it multiple times.

An argument for the Eclipse

So, there's been a great deal of debate about which phenomenon should be assigned to each winner once they've claimed their crown. The first three were pretty obvious, people are still undecided on Martyn (he's the Sea in my book, but this post isn't about him) and now the people are once again split on Scar. I've seen Earth, Mercury, but my personal favourite has been Eclipse.

My reasons for this are as follows: who even decided each winner has to be assigned a planet? It seems so limiting. What happens once we run out of suitable planets? Not to mention the point of these assignments in the first place was iconography, which gets hard when you're stuck with the same circular planets. (Not to mention that Scott somehow being every single star just does not at all fit with this.)

It just makes more sense to shuck this guideline and ascribe the winners phenomena - just like actual gods. And what better for Scar than the crossing of the Sun and Moon, his two significant allies? A rare event - the day plunged into darkness for minutes at a time only for it all to pass as if nothing happened. The light in the darkness, the darkness in light. A reminder that not even something as certain as the rising of the sun and the setting of the moon can be trusted without reservation.

i have returned after spending the past like... 2 days reading qoaad whenever i had free time? which was, unfortunately, not a lot, so i took a while

so, basically, ive finished the whole of qoaad in two days, and now have nothing to read bc the wait time for sword catcher on my library's libby app is 6 weeks

but regardless, i will never be the same again. qoaad has changed me, yall. i dont think i will ever recover from kitty. i wait even more impatiently now for twp

also, ive almost read every book in the series (that isnt a kickstarter)! now ive just gotta read notable shadowhunters & denizens of the underworld (not the updated one bc, again, i dont have any of the kickstarter books. sob 😭.)
