BNHA WLW Weekend - Day 1!

[A/N]

Heyyo, everyone! It's definitley been a while since I've done anything fic related on here, so I may be a bit rusty.

Anyways, hope you all enjoy!!

Rarepair: Kyoka Jirou x Saiko Intelli

Out of all the places Kyoka thought she'd see her best friend's rival, a CD store definitley wasn't the first place that came to mind, especially in the heavy metal section…

But alas, it was, and when she locked eyes with the snarky, white-haired girl, she deepened her frown.

"Oh, it's you," she spat.

Saiko huffed, "what're you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same." Replied Kyoka. "I thought nerds liked listening to classical music when they study."

"I'm not a nerd!"

Kyoka smiled, "sure."

She traced her finger over the sides of CD cases stacked on top of one another and admired their abstract cover designs. When one caught her eye, she pulled it out and examined it. "Oh, sick!"

Suddenly, it was snatched from her hands.

"Thank you very much," smirked Saiko, "ooh, I like the cover..."

"Give it back!"

"Why don't you run back to your idiot school, Jirou?"

"Last time I checked, you lost the Hero Licsense Exam to us!"

Saiko sighed as if Kyoka said something that everyone knew wasn't true, "please, I let you win. I was being nice."

"Nice? You just snatched that thing from my hands!"

Quickly, Kyoka swiped a CD held in Saiko's other hand. "There, now we're even."

"W-well, how about this, then?" Without warning, Saiko launched herself at Kyoka and kissed her. When she broke it, Kyoka stood dumbfounded.

"Wow... and in the middle a CD store, too." she stood, almost frozen as she processed what had happened. Saiko, on the other hand, got so flustered it looked as if she had a horrible sunburn.

"Well? Aren't you gonna take it back?"

Kyoka seethed through her teeth, "I dunno, I think you'd explode if I did." She made her way to the front counter and paid for her CD. "Can I get a sticky note please?"

The cashier nodded and handed her a yellow slip of paper.

"Hold on, wait for me!" Saiko hurriedly paid for her CD as well and caught up to Kyoka, "was I bad?"

Kyoka shsrugged, "eh, not really. But you'll be fine - nerds learn quickly anyways."

With that, Kyoka stuck her sticky note onto Saiko's forehead, which was scribbled with her number.

"If you call me, I might be able to teach you." She winked, "see you around, nerd!"

I dunno how I feel about this one - but then again when do I every feel happy about what I write?

MeliNeji Week, Day 5!!

I don’t know what came over me when I was writing the draft for this, because it suddenly took a semi-sad/not happy turn, but I guess that’s what I get for choosing the Hospital Stay prompt (oh crap I spoiled it-).

I also don’t know if that made any sense, but I honestly couldn’t care less anymore, so without further ado...

Day 5 - Hospital Stay

“Why did you have to be so reckless?”

Nejire stared at the ceiling of her hospital room on Ward five. Her head throbbed like hell. Melissa sat next to her bed on a worn-out, leather armchair. She knew that Melissa was disappointed in her. She hated the thought, but there was no way to avoid it.

Yes, she was being stupid by going after the villain alone. Yes, she was reckless with her power. Yes, she obviously didn’t think things through. Yes, she almost died - but the kid was saved in the end and the villain was arrested. Wasn’t that all that mattered now?

But not to Melissa. Well, not exactly; she did feel glad that everything was okay in the end, but she also cared about her girlfriend, who in the end wasn’t okay. Who wouldn’t be upset with their lover if they had intentionally went on a suicide mission to save a kid? Sure it would be for a good cause, but still. This was her girlfriend, for crying out loud.

“I’m honestly fine, Melissa.”

“Sorry, Nejire, but I can’t buy that. Not with the current state you’re in.”

“But it’s just a few scratches-”

“You pushed yourself past your limit, Nejire! You could’ve died.” Melissa’s voice quivered.

“But-”

“No, Nejire, no.”

“What?!” Nejire was annoyed now. “What do you want me to say, Melissa?!”

“I don’t want you to say anything, I want you to do.”

There was a deafening silence.

“What?”

“I...” Melissa struggled for words. “I don’t want you to be so reckless anymore. If that fight carried on for another five minutes, you would’ve probably been dead by now.” Melissa looked down at her lap. “And I... I don’t want that.”

“I wouldn’t want that either, if we switched roles.”

“So don’t do it again,” tears welled out of Melissa’s eyes and slowly rolled down her cheeks. “Neji, you had me worried sick...”

As much as Nejire wanted to protest, Melissa was right. Nejire knew she was wrong.

“Sorry,” muttered Nejire.

Melissa looked up, “sorry?”

“I’m sorry,” apologized Nejire, louder. “I was being an idiot and I should’ve thought things through. You were right.”

Melissa gave a small smile. “I’m just glad you’re okay,” Melissa leaned forward and kissed Nejire on the forehead.

“I love you, Neji. You’re my hero.”
