Hello all this is my first fanfiction based of Young Justice, the cartoon, check it out!
little things I noticed in The Last Kingdom that make me smile;
Sihtric and Finan have matching hair beads (they go along the top of the ear)
in the episode 4x8 (around 34:41) Sihtric keeps Osferth standing when he starts to pass out cause Finan got him so drunk. He pats him and tells him to stay awake, and then proceeds to watch him quite closely for the rest of the episode
after the slave ship, Uhtred never makes Finan row again, even during emergencies
Finan is always takes care of Uhtred (feeds him and gives him his cloak when he's sick, checks over his injuries after Edward has him tortured, hugs him and helps him mourn after losing *insert a list of characters Uhtred has lost over the span of the show*
Sihtric treats aethalstan like a little brother. when they were being hunted down, and we're corned by eardwulf, presumably about to die, he hands him a dagger but makes the stereotypical bug brother "I want it back" comment. he pretends to be grouchy with him but protects his life and childhood with his own.
furthermore, when running from eardwulf Sihtric and Finan both hold his hand while they run.
finan treats aethalstan like the child/children he lost (we know prior to the slave ship he was married with children, but we don't know much)
osferth is used to having no one when he first joins the group so he tends to drift away, anticipating being rejected, so the others physically draw him in and show him rather then tell him they love him. particularly finan.
Sihtric always looks to finan when nervous or unsure. they click their weapons before battle so Sihtric knows he has someone to fight for, to live for, to go back to.
it was finan that helped him find his faith, even if Sihtric was a pagan and Finan was a Christian.
Sihtric started having some sort of trauma response to being tied up and Osferth immediately started trying to calm him down despite having to armed men with orders to watch them die or slit their throats if it took to long, standing 5 feet away from them.
Sihtric, Finan, and Osferth are considered "Uhtreds pretty boys"
pyrlig became a priest in attempt to retire, then met Uhtred, and he was forced to throw retirement out the window and hasn't known peace since
the boys loves Hild like a big sister/mom
Uhtred has been shown to form deep connections with his horses
no matter how much osferth grew, he remained the groups baby, and they loved him to peices.

Summary: “You know I really really like you, right?” he asked, one hand moving to brush Elia’s hair off his face. The other had dropped the phone and was holding on to his waist.
“I do. And I happen to really really like you too.”
“I sure hope so,” was the reply, all too quiet for Filo’s usual exuberant manner of speaking, like it was just for them to hear.

As much as Elia hated studying for finals, it was even worse when he had to pass this exam or he might actually fail out of university. So far, his grades hadn’t exactly been stellar. Which was why he actually found himself at home on a Saturday night, studying. He couldn’t think of a worse way to spend the evening.
“When are you gonna be done?” Filippo asked as he draped himself across the couch, practically in Elia’s lap like a cat with boundary issues.
“When I know everything there is to know about chemical compositions,” Elia muttered, shifting his book out from under Filippo. His boyfriend wasn’t always one to take a hint.
“How about you take a break?” Filippo asked, pushing himself up and stroking through Elia’s hair as he tried to concentrate on reading his notes. “Five minutes. Ten minutes.”
“No minutes,” Elia replied, grabbing his book and flipping through the pages. As much as he would have preferred to pull Filippo on top of him and forget all about the exam, he couldn’t.
For a second, Filippo paused, watching Elia flipping through his book. “I got some new lube today,” he said, leaning into Elia’s ear. “Flavored.”
Elia bit back his smile as he turned to Filippo. “If you want to get me naked, you’ll have to convince me it’ll be worth my time.”
“I’m always worth your time,” Filippo reminded him, grabbing his book and shifting it from his lap. “You’d be amazed what I can do in ten minutes.”
Elia knew he shouldn’t give in, shouldn’t let Filippo worm his way onto his lap like he was doing right now, but he couldn’t bring himself to shove him away.
“I have to study,” he said, though he tilted his neck back for Filippo’s mouth to brush kisses up his throat.
“And research shows taking regular breaks helps you retain more information,” Filippo breathed, reaching for Elia’s shirt, tugging it up.
Biting his lip, Elia shook his head, sucking in a breath as Filippo’s mouth along his jaw.
“You’ve got ten minutes,” he murmured, and he felt Filippo smirk against his neck.
“Prepare to be amazed,” he said, and Elia laughed, fingers curling into his hair as his eyes closed. He was always amazed when it came to Filippo and he doubted this time would be any different.

Snake 🐍 how go you feel about "fighting/mad" sex between Sobbe? Like they argue with each other and instead of fixing things by talking (we know they are this type of couple, they have to be 😅), they just get in bed (or on the floor, I'm not opposed to that 👀) for a rough round of sex, maybe with some arguing in the middle

Suzanne Collins is one of the few contemporary writers who realizes the importance of names in her stories and the significance they bear. They add so many layers to the story, additional meanings that otherwise would not have existed.
The original trilogy:
Katniss: named after a plant of which you can eat the roots. Her father taught her where to find it and told her that “as long as you can find yourself, you’ll survive” (quote may be a little bit off, but it’s from one of the early chapters in THG). Additionally, the leaves are in the shape of an arrowhead, referencing her skills with the bow which her father also taught her how to use.
Peeta: literally bread lmao. But bread is one of the basic nutritions humans need, a little bit goes a long way to keep you alive. Peeta’s presence in Katniss’s life also kept her alive, literally and figuratively—the burned bread he threw her in the flashback and their complicated relationship.
Primrose: a plant with medicinal purposes, even more significant in light of her work as a medic in Mockingjay.
Gale: literally means “strong wind” and considering that in every encounter with Katniss he’s caused some reaction, he pulls her into directions she maybe initially doesn’t want to go in. Additionally, his name also represents his determination and steadfastness in his beliefs.
TBOSAS
Lucy Gray: named after William Wordsworth’s poem “Lucy Gray” which is about the titular character of the poem who got lost during a blizzard. She literally got lost in snow. Rachel Zegler sang this poem in two parts on the original soundtrack of the movie. When Snow asked who the girl in the song is, Lucy answers that she’s a mystery, just like her.
Snow: aside from the obvious snow references, I think his name is most significant in relation to Lucy and the poem. The only one who knows what caused her disappearance is Snow. He is the reason that Lucy is gone. But her traces in the snow are still visible. He will always remember her because the memory of Lucy has manifested itself in every part of his life.
Coriolanus: named after the Roman general (and also the titular character of Shakespeare’s play), Coriolanus wanted to attack Rome and become its ruler. He was scorned and celebrated by the people, only to be later exiled from the city by them. In TBOSAS, Coriolanus is the star pupil at the Capitol’s academy but sent into exile to the districts after he won the Games with Lucy through cheating.
Volumnia: Coriolanus mother who played a part in his ascent to power. In TBOSAS, she almost serves like a mentor to Coriolanus, teaching him how to think in terms of power.
There are so many other names that have historical (mostly Roman and Greek) connotations—Plutarch, Seneca, Cinna—but also regular names like Trinket and Beetee bear meanings that represent the character beautifully.
Names are important. For any lover of literature or (aspiring) writers, please look closely at them. They can shape your story into something unique.
Feel free to correct me if I’ve said something wrong. I know there are many names missing, but I can only add so many examples ✊🏻😔
