⚘ ISAGI YOICHI

ㅤㅤit’s cheesy, the way you were sitting down next to each other at the train station, waiting for the rain to stop. it had been a lot noisier back then, when a group of friends had taken up almost the entire space, leaving isagi with no other available seat except the one next to you. not that you mind anyway, he seemed less intimidating than those other people. but when they finally got up and left, he didn’t move to the other end. neither did you. the rest of the wait was spent in complete silence. it wasn’t until it was announced that the train would be arriving late that the two of you made a sound; it’s kind of funny how you sighed at the same time, both utterly defeated. you laughed together at the predicament you’re in, looking at each other afterwards before realizing that you were wearing the same uniform. this prompted a rather pleasant conversation, resulting in the two of you being so immersed in each other’s company that you ended up missing the train. in the end, the rain kept pouring and it was getting really late, so you opted to walking back home together — shoulders touching just like a moment ago.

MIKA KAGEHIRA

at first, he ignored the comments. he ignored the hushed whispers from the crowd about his looks, or how he looked during certain parts of the choreography, but over time it got to him. it was particularly bad after a concert for Eternal Weaving had finished. he heard the way some people made comments on how he looked in the outfit, or how he didn’t deserve to be up there with shu, and he whole heartedly believed it and thought everyone else did too.

he had looked more tired, a lot more lifeless and shu noticed. he tried to talk to him about it but mika just wouldn’t budge, insisting he was alright and he just needed a nap. shu knew he was lying, mika was always a bad liar. so he looked for you backstag, and practically dragged you to mika. he was muttering something about mika looking upset and he wasn’t able to get it out of him so he needed your help.

once you got a good look at mika, your heart shattered. you immediately pulled him to a quieter room and locked the door, holding his hand and rubbing his knuckles as you did. once you turned to him and brought him into your arms, he broke. he felt everything come onto him at once. he was sobbing, squeezing you and muttering into your neck about how afraid he was of not being good enough.

“‘m scared (name), what if they’ere right? what if i don’ deserve the spot ‘em at? what if-“ you cut him off, wiping his tears “mika, you’re wonderful. you deserve to be where you are after what you’ve done to get here. you are a beautiful person inside and out, and a wonderful boyfriend. you’re more than enough.”

he buried his chest into your chest, letting you continue your praises as comforting gestures as he felt his thoughts drift away, instead being filled with your voice and your words.

he couldn’t be more thankful to have a boyfriend like you.

RITSU SAKUMA

his manager pulled him aside, asking him what he was doing on stage. he made himself look like a fool, and his voice crack was even more of an embarrassment. he zoned out half way through his lecture, just hoping that it would end so he could go somewhere to reflect.

he heard your voice and was almost immediately pulled out of his trance, walking away from the manager and into your arms. he was silent and just nudged his head as far as he could into your neck, squeezing you tightly as if he was afraid you’d disappear.

his manager was telling him to come back, that he wasn’t done talking yet, but you just ushered him into a secluded area to let him calm down. once you had reached a quiet and comfortable area, he let himself relax more.

he had taken off his jacket and shoes, and clung to you like a koala to a tree. he didn’t want to let go, not yet at least. he needed to make sure you wouldn’t be disappointed in him too and leave.

he felt himself tear up a bit, but refused to let that bitchy manager make him cry. he let himself be swayed by your kind words and comforting actions, soon drifting off to sleep.

“You must be more careful, darling.”

You frowned. Rei had been somewhat lecturing you for the past half hour. You sat on the edge of the bathroom counter, watching as the vampire slowly wrapped a clean white bandage around your scraped arm.

“I know…” You sighed, looking away from him. “I’m sorry.”

You couldn’t help but huff. About an hour ago, you had taken a nasty fall onto solid concrete after collapsing due to exhaustion. Work was work—and unfortunately, there wasn’t much you could do to escape it. Maybe you’d try to get some more sleep, or maybe you’d force yourself to drink more water. If not for your sake, then for Rei’s.

Your boyfriend cupped your cheek as he stood between your legs, gently kissing your forehead. “Don’t apologize, beloved. Just be more mindful next time, yes?” He whispered against your skin, pecking you once again before pulling away to bandage your other arm.

It was unbelievable how utterly kind and loving he was. Rei had warned you numerous times about the consequences of overworking yourself, and when you hadn’t listened and ultimately collapsed, he still stood here, bandaging you up. “I will. I promise.”

Rei smiled warmly. “I know you will.”

He wrapped your arm with the bandages so expertly, covering your wounds with the white fabric tightly enough to stay on, but not tightly enough to hurt you. You didn’t understand how you got so lucky—having a boyfriend who would always drop everything to help you. You almost felt guilty.

Rei must’ve read your thoughts, taking your hands in his softly once he finished dressing your arms.

“I’ll always be here for you to fall back on, alright? You needn’t worry. I only want you to be safer, my dear.” He smiled, bringing your uncovered hands to his lips, kissing them tenderly. “I love you very much.”

“I love you more, Rei. I’m grateful to have you.” You answered, the man continuing to kiss around your palms, knuckles, and fingers. He let out a breathy chuckle, leaning into you, his face dangerously close to yours.

“I love you most.” He said, simply. “You do so much for me, so let me take care of you once in awhile, sweetheart.”

The ravonette fully leaned in and kissed you, his lips molding to fit against your perfectly, his hands never leaving yours. You felt him smile against your lips.

to yoichi, coming home late didn't have much perks. if you asked him, returning home to your shared apartment as soon as possible and enjoying the flurry of soft kisses you'd press against his face was ideal to him. though, these days he's been returning way later due of all the matches and after parties that he's unfortunately dragged along too, never getting to catch you awake. despite that, the pro-athlete couldn't help but coo at your form on the couch.

isagi pushed the door gently, letting the door click silently before moving to drop his duffle bag near the couch. a placid smile growing on his face as he watched you snore quietly with fond eyes, "what are you doing out here angel?" he whispered jokingly, his finger nudging at your cheek, a soft chuckle leaving him when you leaned into his touch. "sorry for coming so late, i was dragged to another party .. again."

not expecting a response, laid his cheek on the couch near yours and turned his head to stare at the ceiling. "before you start, it wasn't at a club! i can't deal with another drunk discussion with bachira, it'll be part two of dolphin conspiracy theory... " he started, hands gesturing animatedly. "anyways— it was a dinner party, the bill was on reo because he lost rock-paper-scissors like a bitch! and y'know how you say eat the rich? trust, i did. brought leftovers for you too." isagi snickered, before lifting his hands to signal a pause. "wait, not eating like that. i will be beating the fruity allegations tonight."

glancing up to check if you reacted to his word, he sighed in relief as saw your resting face."anyways, we actually managed to bring rin along too.. bachira just kept talkin' shit and you know how that ends." he continued seamlessly, sitting up against the couch. "ok but seriously, rin is lowkey poetic with his insults. like not anyone can just think of 'poorly-cut amazon ass wig haircut on clearance' from the top of their head man? got me and chigiri laughing our asses off." he laughed, finger tapping against the floor in amusement.

if he had to be honest, he loved just rambling to you like this, awake or not. he knows even if you were awake you'd just listen to the things he had to share, softly giggling at any joke he made and adding your two cents to keep the convo going. it gave him a excuse to just admire you, over exaggerating some stories just to hear you laugh along with him. you were always so animated and understanding, yoichi was starting to wish you'd wake up soon, even if it is 1 in the morning.

"but yeah,, dinner was fun in the end? nagi drink spilt on the waitress's skirt and shoes,, twice. then aryu commented on how glamorous and how model like it could be to cheer her up and nagi was like, 'yeah if vogue picked their models from the ymca.'" isagi quoted before throwing his head back in laughter, covering his mouth trying not to be too loud before composing himself. "chigiri and kunigami had to sweet-talk the management into not throwing us out— embarrassing but i love going out with them honestly." he chuckled with a accepting shrug, before turning his head over to stare at you lovingly. "though... coming home to you is always my priority."

he sighed quietly, watching your resting face before getting up and stretching his body. reminding himself if he cuddled up to you without showering he'd be sleeping on the couch alone for a week (based on a true story). "alright babe, i'll be back! gotta get your ass off the couch to before you complain about your back in the morning like a idiot." he teased, shrugging off his tracksuit and moving to your shared bedroom.

"come back soooon!" you whispered from the couch, one eye peeking to watch how the athlete jumps at your voice. looking back with shock, isagi threw his head back in a laugh. of course you were awake, you would never fall asleep willingly on the couch for more than 30 minutes. shooting you a small grin, he raised his hand and flicked you off. letting out a loud laugh when he heard your dramatic gasp from behind him.

oh, how great it was to be home.
