(Non Text Version and ramblings under the cut)
Back to our regularly scheduled Gatsby Posting as of late. This time the song of inspiration is The Met from The Great Gatsby Musical! I would be a lying fool if I said the symbolism in this song has not had an iron grip on my writer brain from the very start. I adore the blatant spotlight it places on Nick and his constant being overshadowed and almost hunted by those around him throughout the story. Seriously, whoever wrote these lyrics, you are great. Also Noah J Ricketts an absolutely amazing Nick I just have to say that. I will absolutely be continuing to loop this soundtrack and am actively trying to plan a trip to NY to see the show live because if I don’t my sorry English nerd self will perish. Until my next post!

Hello hi yes I’m not dead. Where have I been the past two ish weeks? Looking for motivation to do anything but that’s not the point of this post. The point of this post is to share some art. So
There are spoilers for the ending of Ride the Cyclone under the cut so be warned okay now onto the art
For a little background, @fitheghosty created this AU for Ride the Cyclone that’s absolutely consumed my mind. The rough concept goes that after Penny is brought back the choir is also thrown back into the living world as ghosts that only Penny can see. Penny doesn’t remember them, and vice versa, BUT in one of her posts, Fi mentioned Penny summoning the choir. I’m perfectly aware there’s probably a completely different way it went but that doesn’t stop my brain from imagining it going a little something like this…
No because actually- I saw it a few days ago and tell me how they made Doc somehow radiate MORE Dad/Guardian figure vibes with Marty than the movie already did
This was a real moment from the Back to the Future Musical Tour and it made me lose my mind
Man, y’all go wild for RTC stuff. Too bad I’m posting Blithe Spirit when I get home from rehearsal
Deciding to draw a short comic is all fun and games until your low effort background ppl end up looking like dumb jokes
The Adventures of Tintin (2011) Official Soundtrack don’t fail me now-
Don’t you just love when you design a character for one (1) drawing and suddenly they have a whole personality, backstory, and a second character to put them through shenanigans with?
Just saw the FNAF movie. And I have only one thing to say
I laughed, I cried, and I damn near shit myself on multiple occasions. My hands hurt from clapping. 10/10 movie. That was cinema
Chat, be real with me here.
Would yall be interested in a Murder Mystery Comedy set in the 70s?
Okay dumb thought process here but this won’t leave my mind-
So in the bootleg for Ride the Cyclone I’ve found I can’t help but notice that in his opening dialogue while talking about Virgil the Base Playing Rat(TM) Karnak mentions that he’s been alone for what seems like quite some time. So the creepy novelty machine is lonely, take note of that
Now in comes the “Karnak and his six feral children” post I saw somewhere on this site but can’t find. Consider, just consider, that maybe after so long in the afterlife together this lonely fortune telling machine (because he’s oddly human for a machine let him have an afterlife of some sort) starts to subconsciously think of the remaining five members of the choir as his responsibility. Kinda like feral adopted kids.
Then of course there’s the possibility that one of the idiots jokingly/accidentally calls him dad but that’s for another time-
TL:DR - “Karnak and his six feral children” but it’s literal and I’m a sucker for the found family trope
Heyo! You can call me J, and I’m just here to have a good time. I do arts, like musicals, and am overall just kinda chillin. NSFW blogs DNI thanks
