Honestly I'd say that Elf wine (because they'd primarily brew fruits) is pretty much Ancient Greek wine, but the elves don't need to water it down. All elvish alcohols are made to get elves drunk.
However all dwarvish drinks are (low level) alcoholic beverages. This is because while dwarves are poison resistant, the water in their caves is far beyond poison with all the crap in it. So dwarvish brews include alcoholic versions of: sports drinks, coffee, soda, juice, water, magic potions, and even (occasionally) soups. Though a few dwarven drinks are made to get people drunk.
Any setting where the elves have weaker booze than the dwarves isn't committing to the bit
Hey in middle earth is there any ecological consequences for those big fuckin eagles
Coolest thing about lord of the rings? The king of horses shows up. It appears he is no different from all other horses
it wild to me that there are people out there who aren't interested in history
like wdym you don't think about the fact that women would tell stories as they made butter in the same way we listen to podcasts today? wdym you don't think about that one Chinese poet who wrote about how much he loved his cats hundreds of years ago? wdym you don't think about the fact that we found a gravesite of a young child surrounded by flowers from THOUSANDS of years ago? wdym you don't think about how people wrote "i was here" into the walls in Pompeii? wdym you don't think about the little egyptian boy who drew little doodles at the top of his school works more then a thousand years ago?
wdym you don't think about the fact that people, no matter the place, time, social status, are fundamentally no different from you. that they loved the same as you, enjoyed the same things you did, dreamed about a better life the same way you did. that despite how seemingly detached you are from these people, in time, place, and culture, the things you do and the thing u are, are so undeniably human that it transcends time and space
If you had a disability where it was a body part not working (i.e. blindness, deafness, legs not functioning), and you had access to a way to fix it, that wouldn’t cause any long term problems (such as debt) why wouldn’t you fix it? I have both glasses and a heart condition, and if I could magic them away I would.
I’m asking this from the position of worldbuilding, as while designing the world for the story I’m writing I got to magic, and then healing magic, and began to wonder this. I also recently saw a post about JKR saying that disabilities would be “fixed” or “overridden” in her fictional world (does that include ADHD and Autism?).
I’m wondering if there are any reasons people would want to keep these kinds of disabilities, as they (from what I can tell) have little to no upsides or positives (for example I’m pretty sure that working legs are more freeing than a wheelchair).
I’m not trying to be rude with this and I’d love to hear why people would choose to keep their disabilities.

People don't like to admit it bcs cringe or w/e but Homestuck really did revolutionize the webcomic as a storytelling medium and I am endlessly frustrated that before webcomic artists could really stretch our legs fucking webtoonz swooped in, set a new, more restrictive standard, and then monetized and monopolized the ever living fuck out of the concept of The Webcomic until it drove away anyone who couldn't be a professional quality manga artist for free, and now the only webcomics that actually feel like spiritual successors to Homestuck are so obscure they're basically cult classics that you have to beg people to read.
Like it's just so wild to be in high school and see Homestuck be like "we're using like fifteen different artistic mediums to tell this story bcs we can" and be really fucking inspired by that, only to grow up and see basically every webcomic ever have to conform to One Single Standard or fucking perish.
