Setting; V’s apartment • been dating for a bit

Time; Early morning • some time in the middle of the game

Waking up my head was pounding I could feel the pulses rattling my skull. Groaning I set up and held my head running my hands through my hair hoping to ease the tension. I was lucky Johnny wasn’t adding to my headache with his rambles at the moment, but right now I just wanted the pain to go away.

“ Babe, here.”

Lifting my head slowly I felt relief wash over me as soon as I heard River’s voice. Holding a glass of water for me and a small bottle of painkillers was my overly sweet detective. “You always know exactly what I need, thanks River. ” Grabbing the pills I popped them in my mouth and then reached for the glass of water and eagerly started gulping it down.

“ V, take it easy. Remember last time. ”

I started drinking the water slower not saying a word and giving River a soft glare as I finished up the glass. Placing the glass down on the side table I then leaned back into the bed.

“ You are such a worrier. Just cause I threw up last time doesn’t mean anything. I’m fine. ”

I didn’t mean to sound ungrateful or for my voice to have a slight edge to it, but lately with having to deal with all the chaos piling up in my life…..on top of dying… I noticed I got irritated more easily and even grew bitter at times. Still, I wish I didn’t take it out on River of all people, but he often was the one who took the brunt of it. He was the one who spent the most time with me besides a certain rockerboy in my head.

I suddenly felt guilt wash over me and I gripped the bedsheets tightly in frustration.

“Look I’m sorry baby. I didn’t mean to sound like a bitch I just -”

“Stop.”

The bed dipped from River’s weight as he sat on the edge closest to me and leaned forward to cup my face and softly brush his thumb across my cheek.

“ You don’t need to explain anything I know you and I know you are dealing with a lot. I understand, so let me be here for you, okay? ”

He gave me that beautiful warm smile of his as he cradled my face and I couldn’t help, but smile back and press my hand against his.

“ Okay, Officer. ”

River let out a low playful chuckle as he leaned forward more pulling me into a gentle loving kiss. I gave a happy hum as I melted at the touch and slowly started to wrap my arms around River’s neck forcing him to climb into the bed fully and press his weight down onto me. His hands started to massage up and down my waist tugging me firmly against his body spreading his warmth throughout me.

My life right now no matter how hard things get or painful least I have this here with him.

Hi! I'm going to assume the midnight date with bayverse!Optimus :o if I got it wrong just send another ask gshdgdg but no problem!

You couldn't help but think back to that night and smile. School had graciously come to an end, and you had planned to celebrate with your friends. The night had continued on and on, but eventually you hitched a ride home with a friend. You were tired and a little drunk, yet you never expected to see a familiar semi truck parked in your driveway. At first, you thought you were hallucinating, until the door opened and a holoform of Optimus stepped out.

"Shit," you muttered. You weren't at all presentable nor were you in the right state of mind. Yet you straightened yourself out before approaching. "What's wrong? I didn't expect to see–" He pulled you in for a hug.

"Congratulations on graduating." Optimhs whispered, squeezing you a bit before pulling away. "I....uh, I apologize for not attending your graduation."

"Don't worry about it." You smiled. "I'm glad I got to see you today. Plus graduation is pretty boring so you didn't miss anything."

"Don't say that, nothing is boring when I get to see you." He planted a small kiss on your forehead. You chuckled and pulled him in to press your lips on his lips. He deepened the kiss as he lifted you up, gently carrying you to the passenger seat of the truck. "Is it okay if we go for a midnight drive?" He asked, his head leaning into your neck as you pulled him in.

"Yes.....yes." You breathed. He gave you a wide grin before he closed the passenger door. You watched the scene outside the window as Optimus drove. He glanced at you from time to time, a little hesitant if he should start a conversation or not.

He finally mustered the courage to break the silence, "Any specific plans after graduation?"

"Hmm, probably getting a job and getting my own place to move to." You shrugged. "There's nothing much to do." Optimus nodded in understanding.

"I....I know I'm not around a lot, but if you do need help looking for a job, just give me a call and I'll drop everything to give you a ride and help." Optimus offered. You stared at him closely

"You don't have to do that–"

"I want to." He smiled at you before focusing back on the road. After a couple hours of driving, Optimus parked alongside a bumpy road. It was quiet and deserted, yet on the other side of the river was a city skyline glittered in lights. You jumped out to stare at the scene and Optimus' holoform joined you. "Some day, I'll take you somewhere else that's not a couple hours away.....I'll take you somewhere you want to go to."

"Aw that's sweet! But I just want to be wherever you go." You smiled up at him. Could holoforms blush? Perhaps it was the trick of the light, but Optimus averted your gaze as he turned to face away from you. You chuckled to yourself before his hand snaked around your waist to pull you closer to him.

"C'mere." He chuckled. "You really had my spark pounding like that." He pressed his lips against yours as his hands squeezed your hips against his body. You let out an involuntary moan into the kiss and Optimus smirked as he deepened the kiss before his lips moved down to your neck. You gasped as you clenched onto Optimus' shirt, his hold on you was tight and you felt like you were drowning in pure bliss.

"Optimus–" you moaned. His kiss went down to your collarbone, before he softly took your hand to kiss your pulse point.

"Happy graduation, my spark." He gazed up at you with those electric blue eyes and you couldn't help but stop breathing, hoping to keep the moment forever in your memory. Maybe you were selfish to wish for the night to stay forever, but you cherished every minute until dawn.
