Maybe this is anecdotal but I know a fair amount of aces and literally none of them are cis and het. Cis and het aces/aros are rad and valid of course! But the fact that I don't know any, yet one of the major exclu talking points is about cishet invaders, is so suspicious. I know 1 cis ace and she's a lesbian, the rest I know are all trans + nb and none of them are het either. The one aro I know is also a lesbian and nonbinary (frat boy stawman argument destroyer lol)!

I think one survey said only 1-3% of aces are cis and hetromantic. They matter and I will go to bat for any, but it’s definitely using a minority of a minority agaisnt the whole.

If you really care about people who have misidentified themselves, you won’t attack the labels they currently identify with. You’ll provide a safe environment for them to explore and question, and let them figure out what their true identity is.
