Egg to steal crops:
"One day he found in his turnip drills a boiled goose-egg. The superstition in connection with this is that the person who puts the egg in the crop will be able to steal the crop."
Source
"Certain families are believed to be able to take a great lot of the profit from a field of corn by planting eggs in each corner of the cornfield on May Day.
The people suspected of butter taking are suspected of working magic with the eggs."

"Dheir sé soiléir annsan gur do phiseogaibh a bhí sé ag tagairt agus mhinigh se gur scaipeadh uibheacha go fóir leathan i ngairdínibh prátaí agus sna móinfheárachaibh comh maith, agus sna cocaibh agus sna giobólaibh féir,"

"It happened one day about that time, however, that a stranger came into the place from a good distance away and spend some time about the district. From that day on the practice of planting eggs, pig's heads, slings (aborted calves) and the clearings of slinger cows, and other things too, in the soil of the gardens, and in the meadows and wynds of hay, as well as dumping the (?) articles in bags on farms, grew for years until it destroyed itself."

It appears that the placing or burying of eggs on someones property or place of growth allowed a user to reduce and obtain the effected crops. This could have modern implications with wider ideas of crops. Eggs are not the sole material for this magic but they seem the most common. The use of this magic appears to have been a widespread issue at some point.
We have confirmation that Linus came from a wealthy family, but put this life aside, donating his money to various charities and organizations to help others, and I like to imagine that he still enjoys working with these charities from time to time, whether this be shelter work, environmental care, or supporting other people!
Willy never had children, but took in Elliot as his own, teaching him everything he would need to know regarding the seas, and quickly takes in Farmer as well, after learning about their love for fishing.
Gus is a trans guy! I don't have any evidence for this, but I just adore Gus so much and need this in my life.
Gunther is a long-time DM, and runs a small group with some of the local teens, and maybe some of the adults! I feel like his fascination of antiques and old treasures has assisted his DMing skills, or possibly the other way around!
Kent has learned how to sew, knit, and garden in order to get closer with Jodi and the kids once he returned to Pelican Town. (He's trying to be a better dad, he already is such a good guy :])
Mr. Qi is quite close with both Sandy and Gus, considering them friends!
Pierre was a college dropout, yet still considers himself a "man of study", I'm sorry, I just can't see this man as anything but an arrogant asshole.
The Wizard is incredibly supportive of the queer folks in the town, and Farmer, and will offer help with anything. Gender change? He's got you. Voice manipulation? He's got the stuff. Just be careful if he invites you to share a pipe!
Marlon and the Wizard are the local salty gay couple, Statler and Waldorf style, and lurk in the back during the flower dance, taking the last dance for themselves.
Pam loves thrifting and going on antiquing sprees with Harvey, and she knows how to absolutely steal a deal, girlie would most definitely punch an old woman over an auction item.
This is all I have atm, but if you want more, please let me know!! I love making stupid little theories for the glorbos. :]
Thought it would be fun to make a poster for the stardew valley fair, and I think it turned out pretty neat! Might make some others for various festivals and events. (Maybe some shop logos?) Hope you enjoy folks! :D
For usamericans who may not know how to support decolonization and indigenous people in their every-day lives, may I suggest checking this list of native-owned businesses, curated and maintained by indigenous folks. There's food, candles, cbd pre-rolls, clothes, jewelry, hats, baby things, handicrafts, art, and hundreds of other useful and wonderful things. I check this list before I buy non-native owned as often as I can.
Also check out the native-owned (pulitzer-prize winner Louise Erdrich started it!) bookstore and press Milkweed Editions (dot org) for an amazing selection of books by indigenous authors. I recommend Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer (a collection of essays that will change your thinking if your mind is open at all) that's great for sitting down to read for bite-sized chunks. For book recommendations, check out this infographic!
Do you own property and want to support landback but still need a place to live? Odds are good that there's established precedence in your area to transfer its jurisduction to a local tribe and pay your land taxes and etc to them instead of the settler government!
Here is a list of charities and fundraisers for indigenous support.
Other ways to educate yourself and learn what indigenous people are working on nationally and locally is to follow indigenous people online! Many Native peoples on various social medias tag with #indigenous, #native, and by looking at those you will find many other tags and people to follow.
If you have extra cash, consider paying indigenous people's bail, donating to some of the causes linked above, or look for local initiatives to support in your own community!
This man is my personal little skrimblo, my grunkle if you will, so I have decided to compile my personal headcannons for him here for you folks!
His personal comfort show is Over the Garden Wall, I can imagine him listening to the soundtrack while he builds :]
He struggles with C-PTSD and RSD, which is possibly canon? Hinted at HEAVILY in his higher friendship/marriage dialogues. I just need him to know it’s gonna be okay ;-;
He enjoys antiquing and thrifting! I feel like he would heavily enjoy the pre-loved items, however making sure to properly cleaning them before he puts them away!
There is absolutely no evidence to prove this, but I feel like he would, or has collected coins. Really not sure why, I just feel like this fits him quite well.
Mentioned this in my last Harvey appreciation post, but I feel like he would be asexual or possibly demisexual! This might also be your local ace wanting more rep, but I get a strong vibe from this man.
He has a fear of getting tattoos. Both the commitment of having something on his body for so long, the risk of infection, and the fear of the actual process worry him, however he hopes to get one to represent Farmer soon :3
Harvey loves bugs. Another one I don’t have any evidence for, but I can just imagine him sitting on a bench outside with a little guy on his hand while he reads, or flipping over stones to make sure the pill bugs are doing well. (Also, he seems like the kind of person who had a bug hyperfixation, coming from someone with one)
He doesn’t know any instruments fluently per say, but he finds the mandolin to be a fun, and good instrument to play around with, especially learning songs for farmer!
He has a complex understanding of the International Phonetic Alphabet, and will go on happy rambles about etymology if farmer inquires! He is a doctor after all, and lots of medical terminology is based in latin, which has a deep connection with the IPA so this would make sense!
He is terrified of dogs, specifically small dogs. They just seem too evil and ill-intended, he cannot understand why these little goblins must be so aggressive, which is honestly valid
Anyways, that’s all i’ve got for now, but more coming soon possibly?? If folks want, I can do my headcannons for other characters as well!! Enjoy my friends :3
Bealtaine (not Beltane) is pronounced ‘Beeowl-tinna’. It does not originate the neopagan wheel of the year. It is one of the four Irish fire festivals.
If you’re celebrating it this year, regardless of your tradition, please take some time to research the roots of this holiday. Do your part to help reverse some of the damage done by the neopagan appropriation of this holiday by learning and incorporating some authentic Irish tradition into your celebrations.
Good luck with decolonizing your practice!

hey folks if you have an android phone: google shadow installed a "security app".
I had to go and delete it myself this morning.
I’ve seen these kinds of things everywhere, and decided to try it out myself! This took so long to make, but I feel like it is able to showcase everything! Created on Procreate and Canva my beloved. Hope folks enjoy!!
