san screamed as he saw park seonghwa himself, attempting to take your hand. hongjoong looked back, his eyes darkening once again at the view of seonghwa trying to get close to you. san immediately took your hand, pulling you away from the blonde haired man.

“y-y/n, can we please talk?”

seonghwa looked like he was about to cry, he wasn’t with seoyoon, you probably thought they got into a bad argument which made them break up.

“i- seonghwa, im not in the mood to talk to you. ill call you when i get back home, i don’t want to talk right now.”

seonghwa sighed as he saw you leave the park with hongjoong and san. you were disappointed, you were supposed to be smiling while being in a colorful and fun attraction, not leaving because of someone who almost ruined your life because of a manipulative crazy attention whore.

“y/n, are you okay?”

san whispered as he saw you frowning while entering hongjoong’s house. your bright smile changed into a frown right after seonghwa asked you if you could talk with him.

“no, i have to talk to seonghwa again, i fucking hate this.”

after that, your phone started ringing. you immediately recognized the numbers that showed up on the screen, it was seonghwa. you felt your stomach clench, but you decided to answer. “guys, i’ll be right back.” you whispered faintly as you left the living room with your phone in your hand, softly squeezing the gadget. you walked through hongjoong’s house as you glanced at the screen, tears starting to leave your eyes. you entered hongjoong’s room and shut the door, locking it. you took one last breath before you answered the boy’s call. “y/n..?”

seonghwa’s broken voice was heard from the other line. he sounded like he was crying, his breathing was intense. “yes, this is y/n” you whispered softly as you closed your eyes, still holding your phone to your ear as you listened to seonghwa’s silent sobs and his breathing. 

“y-y/n, im so fucking sorry.” seonghwa whispered as he finally broke down, tears were running down his cheeks, his eyes were stinging and his face was red. his sobs were getting even more intense throughout the call, you felt pity for the blonde man. 

“s-seong, seonghwa..”

tears ran down your cheeks as both of you were a sobbing mess. the small sobs that left your lips were filling up the room as you looked at the window, with tears in your eyes. as you looked around the room, still listening to seonghwa’s sobs at the other side of the line, you noticed a black vase, it looked extremely familiar. the vase was filled with beautiful and healthy red roses which looked to be well taken care of by their owner, hongjoong. you stood up from the bed, getting to admire the beautiful roses.

“y/n, i don’t know what to fucking say. im so disappointed in mysel-“

“you weren’t disappointed when you were fucking seoyoon. you weren’t disappointed when we had arguments about her. you weren’t even disappointed when i told you how i felt. this is unfair, seonghwa. you can’t just come at me right after you were in the amusement park with seoyoon.”

“i- y/n, let me talk.”

seonghwa cried as a small sigh left your lips. you agreed to let seonghwa explain why he’s coming back to you after all that he’s done, and what happened between him and seoyoon.

“she.. she just wanted me because i have money and i am or was hongjoong’s friend.. i knew i was an asshole to you, y/n. i knew i didn’t listen to you, i kno-“

“shut the fuck up, seonghwa. you regret this at the final fucking moment. i cant talk, this just pisses me off, ill get back to you soon.”

with that, you ended the call with tears in your eyes. you didn’t know what to do, you were confused, you were sad, even angry. after a while of walking around the room with your puffy red eyes, somebody knocks on the door softly.

Encouragement and reassurement.

This man showers you with praise and encouragement, even without words you know he’s adoring you. Just look into his eyes and you’ll see them glinster with love.

Always showing you off to his friends, squeezing your hand as he carefully drags you to meet the next person you dont know.

Big eyes and lips slightly parted as he listens to one of your stories, or just when you talk in general.

Heizou

Speaking up for you.

“Hey, uhm sorry to bother and be that customer, but I just received the wrong food. I didn’t order the spaghetti…”

Will take your hand in his as he realizes your embarrased face. 

“‘Tis not your fault, sweetheart. The kitchen just got it mixed up.” Drops the topic as he sees you cast your eyes down and starts talking about an old memory from his highschool days. His hand never letting go of yours as he rubs small circles on top of your hand.

Kazuha

Acts of service.

Will sit by the front door waiting for you to finish getting ready, untying your shoe laces, or clips for your heels and placing them ready for you to put on.

Will stay on his knees as he helps you put your feet in said shoe or heel and tie them/close them. 

After that he’ll stand up and gently kiss you as he whispers how beautiful you look.

Won’t hesitate to do it infront of others either. Gentleman in private, and in public.

(husband material if you ask me) 

Scaramouche

Speaking up for you…/protectiveness.

“Hey! What’d you just say about her?” 

Protective, but in a good way. No way he’ll let anyone walk away after disrespecting you like that. 

“Speak badly of her again and I’ll personally make sure your life will be insufferable, now scatter.” 

Proceeds to grab your hand and storm off, and when you’re in private he’ll tell you how much he cares for you and that he promises to never let harm come your way.

Venti

Simply using his voice.

Your head would be on his shoulder as he softly sang a song or told you a story. Your eyes falling shut every now and then before waking again. 

Will carry you to bed or lay you down on the couch as soon as he felt your body relax, signaling you’d fallen asleep.

“Sleep tight, honey.”

Will probably sneak into the bed with you and you’ll wake up with two hungry arms around your waist, gripping your shirt.

Xiao

Will keep you as close as physically possible when in public. Arm around your waist, your shoulders, or his hand gripping you so tightly you’d have to remind him to be careful. 

Will glare at anyone who even looks at you. Wouldn’t hesitate to shove people aside to get through crowded places, all the while holding onto you for dear life.

Then tells you to remind him to never go out during the day again.

okay so get ready for a fucking essay ufdkvhfd

To me, Tallest Red and Purple are the only two characters in the show that could ever be considered a pairing canonically. I’ll try to explain my thoughts as clearly as I can but just in case, sorry if you see any funky grammar mistakes ! english is not my native language lol

1# They’re the only two characters that actually thoroughly enjoy spending time with each other.

• “ But Evan ! Zim and GIR have a strong bond ! ”

Yes! And no.. Zim really does love GIR even if he can also find him incredibly annoying, it’s been shown multiple times in the show ! What really breaks the “harmonious friendship” between the two is GIR’s defectiveness. GIR is an unstable crazy robot, some of the things he does can seem cute and encouraging but those things are often just proven to be completely random

for example giving an anxious Zim two thumbs up when he’s about to knock at Dib’s door and then squishing his head for far away when he turns around.

It’s also been shown in an episode that if GIR wasn’t a defect he would just straight up kill Zim for being a threat to the mission. It’s,, really fucking sad

• “ A lot of characters spend time together in the show ! ”

Again, yes and no ! A lot of characters do spend time with each other in the show but only because they’re obligated to. 

Dib and Gaz are siblings, they’re forced to bare each other’s shenanigans and even then they often don’t. Dib HAS to stop Zim from destroying the Earth and Zim has to neutralize Dib so he can feel somewhat special and succeed in his mission. GIR is Zim’s robot assistant, it’s his duty to just stay with him (and even then he’s often not really listening, he’s just watching tv jfhdkfdg).

Now you might think that Red and Purple also fall in this category, being two Tallest, they’re obligated to spend time with each other. Not so ! our tall boyos have also been shown together in the cancelled episode The Trial when they were a lot younger !

+ that’s just a hc but a lot of people think that they basically cheated their way to royalty and modified their bodies. If that were the case, that’d mean they chose to be Tallest together.

#2 Their personalities complete each other

The way they interact shows just how dependent they are of one another. • They interact with other Irkens following what the other is going to say or do If Purple says he likes something Red will always defend it or just go with it

Purple who’s probably become used to the favoritism and being spoiled will sometimes just throw tantrums for the sake of it

Also he likes to mimic Red and well that’s just really fucking cute

• Lastly, They only treat each other with respect

They insult Skoodge, try to get Zim killed, humiliate Bob, mock the Resisty and treat the other invaders/soldiers like meaningless objects, even Skrang, the equivalent of a Royal scientist is just seen as completely uninteresting to them.

However ! They love playing table tennis, enjoy eating and laughing together, they play with action figures, make puppets of themselves and play pranks. In others words it’s not like they enjoy spending time with everyone, they ONLY enjoy and tolerate each other’s company, everyone is a pain to interact with. also there was a gay joke in the episode Battle Of The Planets and I’m 5 so have it
