Octocon is actually endo neutral but yes

Octocon is a new app for systems. It's anti endo and made by traumagenic systems. It also has a discord bot that is a lot easier to use than pk in my opinion. You can also sync your app and the bot so you can edit alters in the app. The app is on android already and coming to IOS soon. Hope this helps some people :)

(If you're in a server, I recommend adding this bot as more people are starting to use it instead of pk and tupperbox)

so we are a system without RAMCOA/OEA/TBMC trauma, but we have an alter that uses a number (not as a name usually, more of an assigned number) based on an ICD code

i won’t share the actual code, but a similar one (that i made up) would be D35 or something like that

we were wondering if this is offensive to systems with number name trauma? his number is based on some of our own trauma but it’s tied to medical trauma, not TBMC

It’s not offensive to us. It takes the target off our backs and other survivors are able to hide in a crowd.

Yes, there’s trauma related to those number names, but it doesn’t just have to ramcoa/tbmc based.

The one thing I hate the most is people constantly saying that ramcoa systems are the only ones that can use numbers as names. It separates us from the crowd and makes us easier targets if people remember those numbers.

Use it, it’s a name.

That’s like others using colour coordination and stuff being offensive because of programs revolving around colours. No, it’s helping you organize.

I will always say it’s okay for any system to use a number name to help survivors hide and to make sure that there’s no separation to where people can find survivors easier. I might get attacked by other survivors or something but I don’t really care lmao

Use what’s comfortable.

This is your reminder that abusive people can do good things, but they are still abusive!

They can save your life

They can be nice to you

But this doesn’t excuse their abuse, and it doesn’t make your experience any less valid
