I love how Crowley and Aziraphale's teeny little half miracles to hide Gabriel actually worked because when Michael, Uriel, and Saraqael show up at the bookshop they don't recognize him at all. It's such great continuity.

My favorite part:

Michael looking at Gabriel, "Don't I--don't I know you?"

Gabriel, intently, "Yes. You do. I'm the assistant book seller. I opened the door for you."

I don't know if it's a British thing, his using heart in the singular or if it's a wonderful way for Arthur Conan Doyle to emphasize the intimate closeness of Holmes and his Watson, but either way I love it 🩷🩷🩷

I wonder if Sherlock admired his great uncle's paintings? I know he's mostly a homebody, but did he take some time to travel to the nearest art gallery and look at those mediterranean scenes and ships on the water? Maybe he has a family heirloom painting hanging up in his bedroom.
