As someone new to tumblr who never interacted with any other LoZ fandom beforehand, I was a bit surprised at how prevalent zelda/link shipping is here. Maybe it's just my aro showing, but them having romantic interest makes no sense to me given their character traits (or how I personally interpret them). I always pictured Link as becoming a single parent who adopts one or two kids and travels Hyrule with them in his own free-spirited way. I can't imagine him being a parent along with someone like Zelda...
My thoughts on BotW/TotK Link and Zelda’s relationship and just my thoughts on their individual characters
I would like to preface this yap by stating that I have nothing against BotW/TotK Zelink and enjoy seeing stuff with them as a couple. I also like messing around with different dynamics for characters. So let's begin! (Also be warned this thing is like the length of a whole ass essay.)
Yeah with them I enjoy Link and Zelda both ways! I like them as both romantic and platonic. Because them slowly over time growing to love each other is good. But also just having them each being a steady part of each other's lives as they build (or don't) relationships with other people is also really good! No matter what they'll be super close forever. Honestly part of my soul wants of botw Zelda did fall for someone it would be someone entirely ordinary. Just a complete departure from her role as the princess of Hyrule. Idk it just tickles my fancy.
Post BotW I honestly would just see Zelda becoming a researcher and teacher. She really seemed to hate her role as the princess and honestly the kingdom has lasted this far without the monarchy. I doubt that she’d feel any major rush to reestablish it. She definitely feels an obligation to her people but there is more than one way for her to help them. Her being able to take a backseat from the spotlight is deserved. She's spent her whole life in the spotlight with everyone scrutinizing her every action and she actively hated it (this is the whole reason she initially hated Link since she thought he was judging her like everyone else!). I honestly feel she would choose a quiet life. (With maybe the exception of a few explosions XD) And I honestly feel that she would rather fade into the background of some history book unless it was for something she created. An invention she designed. Her whole life has been spent defined by something she had next to no control over.
If Zelda ever did marry someone it would feel like an almost full circle moment if she married someone well… ordinary. The decision is fully her own. No prophecy had anything to do with that. No manufactured feelings called for by destiny. She considers Link a wonderful friend and confidant but she needs to find her own path not forged for her by others. And I feel if she ever had a daughter she wouldn't name her Zelda. That name holds too much weight and responsibility for a child in her opinion. But if there was a great granddaughter named after her because the child loved their grandmother well... Maybe the name can hold a new meaning.
She gets to be her own person fully away from the hero.
Also Zelda should get to be the more chaotic one. She literally released a frog apocalypse on the town. Need I say more?
And now to Link:
Something I find kind of sad is that the botw/totk fandoms often (not always but often) butcher Link’s cannon personality/characterization. While Link definitely is very sassy and has some chaos and spunk (some of his dialogue and being perfectly willing to be shot up in Purah's contraption for mapping being the perfect examples) he's not just this being of total chaos who has no clue what's going on at any given moment.
The way he's portrayed in-game (I haven't finished mind you but from what I’ve finished for myself and watched) is as this well respected figure by those around him. And not just as the hero but just as someone who helps others and is a sort of leader in the communities he's a part of. At this point in his life I see him setting down some roots in places and being really invested as a leader in a community.
Also he’s canonically really great with kids. In basically every settlement in Hyrule he has an amazing relationship with the kids there. I honestly can't imagine him not having kids in some manner or another whether it be bio, adoption, or just mentorship of an older kid. I just can’t imagine him not having kids in his life one way or another.
Also a final point that I think some people forget is that TotK Link isn’t a teenager. Like he’s 25 minimum. Buddy is at least in his mid-late twenties if we look at the age of kids who hadn't even been born yet in botw he's going to be more responsible at this point.
And so why does this characterization matter anyway?
Well because this would make both Link and Zelda really amazing narrative foils of each other. They’ve almost just straight up swapped places from their past. Zelda is happy to live a quiet life with those she cares about the most while Link becomes the widely known and beloved leader for the work he does. He chooses to make other's problems his own and Zelda is happy to support her kingdom from the wings. Essential but not in the limelight. They end up switching places in this new world they're a part of. A mirror of what they could have been back home if given the chance to grow without the pressures and expectations of others placed on them.

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.
I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.
Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

I always wondered what the dots were for! also shout out tesla for meticulously taking all the best design practices for cars and throwing them out the window (winshield?). admire the dedication
Have you ever looked closely at a car windshield?
The edge of the glass is painted where it is glued to the car but it has these small dots between the clear and painted glass.
These are there for a reason. When the sun hits the glass the painted areas and the clear areas will absorb heat at different rates. This causes the glass to expand and contract differently putting stress on the glass.
These dots help the glass to warm up more evenly over a larger area so the glass does not suffer stress that could cause it to spontaneously explode.
Fun fact: the Tesla cybertruck doesn’t have these.
